Principals and Co-founders

Andrew Proulx, P.E., LEED AP

Prior to co-founding EnerSpective Incorporated, Andy started his own company, AGP Energy Solutions in 2000, which provides building energy design and energy consulting services. Since then, he has improved the energy efficiency and sustainability of hundreds of new and existing commercial and residential buildings.

Working with architects, engineers, developers, builders, and building owners, Andy has been involved in energy modeling; utility energy efficiency programs; the LEED® for Homes program; commercial and residential consulting; mechanical design and specification; and implementation of energy efficiency upgrades. He has consulted in all phases of sustainable development from design, construction to energy rating.

Prior to establishing his business, Andy worked for 20 years in various product design and development engineering positions, where he brought products from initial concept to full-scale manufacturing. Andy is the inventor or co-inventor of six patents for product and process innovations.

Andy is a licensed mechanical engineer in Massachusetts, a LEED® Accredited Professional, and a member of numerous technical organizations, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the American Solar Energy Society (ASES).  He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Lowell, Lowell, Massachusetts with a concentration in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

 

Tyke Crowley, Esq.   

Prior to co-founding EnerSpective Incorporated, Tyke has over 10 years of professional experience in sustainability planning; environmental policy and practices; and group consensus building.  Tyke is an attorney and land use planner with a background in environmental law; water resources engineering; and political advising.  He has also has over seven years experience as a facilitator and mediator.

 
Tyke is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts, a board member for the Green Roundtable and is a New England Environmental Leadership Senior Fellow. He has co-instructed undergraduate and graduate courses at Boston College and Tufts University. Tyke received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and holds a joint master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy/Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tufts University with a concentration in sustainable planning.

 
Tyke has recently worked as a Senior Planner for the Town of Concord. He researched, drafted and edited alterations to by-laws. He also participated as a vice-chair on Concord’s Comprehensive Sustainable Energy Committee. As a Policy Adviser for U.S. Senator John F Kerry, Tyke was responsible for handling all health care, public health and environmentally related-issues in Massachusetts. Relying on his past seven years as a facilitator and mediator, he provided political and policy advice to nonprofits, universities, businesses and government, helping them implement effective public campaign strategies and navigate complex policies ranging from water resources, land management and energy.
